I had the pleasant opportunity to travel to the endearing Cycladic island of Sifnos and call Kavos Studios home for a few days. Having heard very little about Sifnos I had no idea what to expect. Upon arrival, I instantly knew that coming to Sifnos and booking a few nights at Kavos was the right decision. The view was like no other, the Cycladic architecture and charm was inviting and the location could not have been more ideal. Kavos Studios is the best hotel to stay at in Sifnos, hands down.
Location of Kavos Studios in Sifnos, Greece
Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Aegean, with Fassolou and Chrisopigi Beach just at arm’s reach, Kavos has perhaps the best location in all of Sifnos. With a clear view of Chrisopigi Monastery and the sea from one side as well as the distinctive, endless Cycladic terrain on the other, Kavos has a 360 view of the island that does not disappoint.
I was so pleased to find out that Kavos’ location is so ideal that everything was a short drive’s distance away. Want to visit the best beaches on the island? Just walk down to Fassolou Beach and make your way to Chrissopigi Monastery checking off four of the island’s top beaches along the way, all while exploring Sifnos walking trails that connect these villages together. Fancy a stroll through Sifnos’ charming villages of Apollonia, Artemonas or Kastro? Then hop in the car for a brief 7-15 minute drive.
Design & Ambiance
From the second I stepped foot on Kavos Studios private beachfront property, I instantly felt this sense of calmness and serenity. The dominating panoramic view of the heartwarming sea, the relaxing boho-inspired pool bar, the intimate Cycladic studios, all inspired by Kavos’ Studios welcoming intent, shaped the ultimate summertime haven. The establishment is made up of seven Cycladic studios of various sizes, perfect for couples, families or group of friends.

We stayed in the Levanda Family House and immediately fell in love with its alabastrine architecture and remarkable view over Fassolou Beach. Featuring its own peaceful patio, your eyes can feast on the magnificence of the wide spectrum with no one blocking your view. On the inside, the house fits up to 5 people, with three single beds, a dining table, a fully equipped kitchen, two showers and a private bedroom. The private patio was perhaps my favorite part of the house. If it wasn’t for Sifnos’ captivating charm that led us to explore the island, I would have had no problem staying at this idyllic house for my whole stay!

Pool & Bar
The pool and bar area of Kavos in and of itself was a slice of Grecian bliss. In the morning, the lovely ladies running the hotel offer various breakfast options from scrambled eggs, to Greek yogurt with fresh fruit, crispy bread with tahini, traditional homemade Greek pies and more delicacies. Waking up from the sound of the waves and greeting the sun in a cup of freshly-brewed Greek coffee is an easy habit to build and start off your day. All the products used at the bar are local and organic. Coffee, cocktails, beers and wine are also served at the bar.

Whether you’re in the mood for a dip in the pool or just want to read a book from Kavos’ book selection, this cliff side pool area will surely win you over. I recommend spending a couple hours every morning at the pool enjoying your breakfast with a view or an early swim to get the day started.
Yoga, Meditation & Massage
During the summer months Kavos offer’s morning yoga classes by the pool and daily meditation classes during the evening. Ayurvedic massages are also offered at Kavos Studios in Sifnos.
All in all, I could not have found a better hotel to stay at in Sifnos. The friendly staff, unparalleled views of the Aegean and overall laidback and relaxed vibes enhanced my stay in Sifnos. In fact I could have easily spent my entire time on the island by the pool area or on my private patio.

Thank you to the ladies at Kavos for their wonderful hospitality. I could not recommend Kavos Studios enough if you are looking for a serene spot to call yours for a few days. Everything about our stay at Kavos was without a shadow of a doubt incredible and I cannot wait to return back soon.
But don’t take my word for it, book a stay at Kavos Studios and see for yourself!
